The second semester of freshman
year has officially began, and it is time for me to get back into my before
winter break mentality. No more staying up until two or three in the morning
watching Netflix and waking up until at least eleven o’clock in the morning. The
one thing that I was not looking forward to about going back to school is
trying to find parking because that is always a struggle. Waking up early for
class was probably one of the hardest adjustments about going back to school,
that and staying up to date on my assignments or readings. So far most of my
classes are lecture heavy so most of my homework involves reading, which is a
problem. No matter how much I try I cannot seem to sit down and concentrate on
what it is that I have to read. Other than my lack of concentration skills,
this semester has been off to an okay start. My schedule is very sporadic so it
gives me a lot of down time at school in which I do nothing but watch Netflix
or sit on my phone waiting for my next class. I want to but most importantly need to start
doing some more productive things in my spare time; it is just a matter of getting
myself back into school mode. After looking back to my first semester at Stan
State I have realized that I want to make the most out of my last year as a
freshman. I want to make new friends, go to and experience college events, and
ultimately make new and lasting memories.
make the most of every day not just this year :)
ReplyDeleteI definitely relate! My experience from last semester has given me an insight on the do's and do not for this semester.
